Unable to activate Touch ID after housing replacement

Hi,

one day ago I replaced my used and damaged IPhone 6 Housing with a new one (not a used one; Bought a new one from ebay in matte Black and Gold). So far so good, but after i reassembled everything, my Touch ID wasn´t working correctly, so did a reboot and i did a soft reset with the hardware keys. After this I got the Message, that it`s "Unable to activate Touch ID".

I also changed the ribbon cable on the back of the metal plate on the Display and tested the old one with another IPhone (it worked)...

I am really confused now, since i didn`t touched the Home Button at all (no need when you don`t change the Display...)

Any recommendations?

Did you simply change the metal housing, or did you change any of the internal parts (like the logicboard)? Since each home button is paired to the logicboard, replacing either the home button or logicboard will disable Touch ID. If you are still using the original logicboard and home button that are correctly paired, it is possible that you damaged the home button cable.
