Should I replace the logic board on my iPhone 6S?

Lanciato il 25 settembre 2015. Modello A1688/A1633. Si ripara in modo simile alle generazioni precedenti, richiede cacciaviti e strumenti di apertura. Versioni GSM o CDMA /16, 32, 64, 128 GB / Oro rosa, Oro, Argento, Grigio siderale.

Should I replace the logic board on my iPhone 6S?

The iPhone 6S was working fine the night before but in the morning was dead.

Tried doing a hard reset, the screen flashed for 5 seconds and went dead.

Apple store diagnostics said phone is not repairable.

Took to a cell phone repair shop and tested with new battery and display - it did not come on.

The only option is that the logic board could be out.

Should i attempt to fix logic board? Is there anything else I should try before I fix the board?

The iPhone 6S is still a very valuable device. I would certainly consider having the Logic Board repaired. Most shops that specialize in micro-soldering use a no fix/no fee pricing model so you don't have much to lose. You can check out my profile for more info or search google for other shops that also do no fix/no fee..

Have you been charging with a non original charger? I ask because the Tristar (USB Charging IC) is known to go bad when you do. You have checked the Charging port I assume? Minho is second to none when it comes to iphone repairs and is well known here on Ifixit as the "Iphone God", lol...You can search for local business that perform Micro-soldering and are reputable but they are far and few between.

As @teetopp mentions, you may find a good micro-solderer in your area if you Google "micro-soldering your city/state/region". There are several awesome micro-solderers out there, some of them are active on this forum (including Michael), others use different avenues to share their knowledge (Youtube, Facebook etc.). As for me, I bleed and hurt like everyone else...so I am no god :-).
