F2 Error displayed. No clogs, drains very well, drain pump won't stop.

My washer has been displaying the F2 error. I found the manual and looked through the relevant post about this error but my washer drains very well. The problem is the drain pump won't stop running and I get the F2 error after 8 minutes. Is there a sensor that tells the pump to stop after draining is complete?

The toubleshooting guide I found inside the washer says check the filter, check the lines for clogs, check for obstruction on pump motor, then, if all those are good, replace the motor. All of those are good and the motor is good as well.

Any help is appreciated.

I appreciate the help but the trap isn't clogged. All of the drainage system works perfectly, it just doesn't stop draining.

I was going off of what your error code stated. Try this:

Your washer DRAIN HOSE may be causing a siphoning condition. Your washing machine drain hose may be pushed way too far into the stand pipe in the wall. There needs to be an air gap and by having the drain pipe pushed too far there is no air gap. This creates a vacuum or siphoning affect and the water is pulled out of the washer as it fills with water. What you need to do is pull the drain hose out of the stand pipe and put it back in making sure it is not in the wall too far or too deep. There needs to be a bend at the apex of the drain hose. It needs to be above the height of the wash tub. Once you have the drain pipe or hose in the exact position you need it to be in to not cause siphoning, tie the drain hose to the water fill hoses with a plastic zip tie so it can’t fall back down deep or pull out.

That is a good thought but I don't believe that's the issue here. When I tested the drain hose, I removed it from the stand pipe and ran it into a bucket so I could see if the flow was impeded in any way. It drains very well, it just doesn't recognize that it's done draining.

If it's not siphoning, then it's the timer.
