What is wrong with my instax?

I bought an Instax Mini 8 and two packs of ten films each, expiring in 2018 before Christmas 2016. I used three films and all three of them worked perfectly. A little more than two months later (right now), the films come out white. I tried five times, and all of them are blank.

I searched why this could be happening online, and the main reason everyone seems to say is that it got overexposed to light. But however, both my camera and my films have been in a room temperature area and kept in a box, and when I took the photos, three of them were outside and two were inside.

Secondly, the red light beside the viewing place flashes one or two times when I start the instax then it disappears. Again, I searched online. It said that it was because I dropped it, but I didn't. I always set it down slowly, carefully and softly.

The flash and everything else is perfectly fine except for the things I stated above^. May anyone please help me? Thank you!
