Keeps doing factory reset. Erases all contacts pictures including SD card. Everything lost. Has happened more times than I can count. What's wrong? Not sure its factory reset but acts the same as if it was

Sounds like the System Firmware (Android Operating System) on the phone has gone haywire.
I recommend reinitializing the firmware using Samsung Smart Switch

We can try this but it only happens maybe once every month or two. It may be some time before we know if it worked
