During boot WINDOWS reports my 3 TB Seagate external is failing
As soon as booting is done the 3 TB external drive is not detected.
So, hoping there is a method, since during the boot process, Windows detected and reported the drive failing (and it will still report during boot even now) to access the drive in one mode or another.
I am distraught and desperate but unable to spend big bucks for data recovery clean room techs to fix.
I have never tried to fix a dead drive but I have opened several and found the platters and the heads and if I had a clean-room I would be able to do whatever they do it is just the micro dust we do not see is supposed to disable the drive's function. So before I totally destroy this drive the question is;
Windows reports the drive failing.
Then windows doesn't let me access it.
There should be some sort of bypass scheme to let me in since windows see it during boot.
Thanks for all ideas.
