The issue is most likely with your 30-pin conector inside of the unit. If you have dropped it, or hit it against something, ect. this may be the cause of the problem. I suggest doing a thorough test on it before attempting repair. If, upon inspection it is still unresponsive, you will most likely have to repair the connector. There are many guides on this website and YouTube if you decide to do it yourself.
