What car charger works with an iPod Classic 160GB (Model# A1238)?

Could someone recommend a car charger for a pre-2009 iPod Classic 160GB? No matter what car charger I try (out of about 10), all that happens when I plug it into the iPod is for the screen to light up briefly. No charging occurs.
