How to fix black screen on my iPhone 5s after dismantling it?

OK so I just replaced the battery of my iPhone 5s with the battery I ordered off this site and followed their given guide. Unfortunately after I finished changing the battery and putting everything back like it was before hand I noticed that the screen is only black. I put it on the charger and the phone generates some heat and also when plugged to my computer is activates the iTunes which shows that the phone is on but the screen is just black. Can anyone tell me what went wrong while I was working on the Iphone and is there any possible solutions?

I don't think it is on because it doesn't vibrate or anything .

Double check your connections. It's very possible you don't have the LCD cable in there correctly. It's also possible you damaged it. It's likely getting hot because the digitizer cable is working, but the LCD isn't. Circuits not complete, and the logic board is getting cranky. +1 for doing this yourself. It's not the end of the world if the display is broken, things happen when you do anything the first time

So it still is a black screen will purchasing a new iPhone 5s LCD Screen and Digitizer from this site (iPhone 5s LCD and Digitizer) an answer to this? Do you know if it will have all the pieces needed to do the repair ? If so then I will purchase this and replace the it, need a new screen anyway this one is scratched.

If it's not the connection, look in there. Are all the sockets looking good? Both on the board, and on the part. Then yes, a new display is the answer. So even if you skimp, like me, and just get the part, you'll still have everything. You just need to swap the backplate camera and home button. But be careful with that home button. Damage it, lose Touch ID. I don't wanna scare, but be cautious. If you don't do this often, use a hair dryer, and gently with a medium space away, gently heat up the adhesive on the cable, gently pry up, then push the button, from the front, out the back. The little square sticker for the rubber gasket, not a big deal

I got my new display today and and replaced it on my new phone. I believe everything went well but my phone is still still just a black screen. It can still connect to iTunes though. I just don't get whats wrong.

Ok. So when it's on, and you can't see anything, and the display isnt fully closed. Disconnect the home cable safely. And see if there's light coming from the back of the display

I don't see any light from the display. I looked threw the area where the home button is and around the phone while I believed it was on. I presume this is bad..

Well you could try taking it apart again and putting it back together.
