Dust getting inside the camera lens continuously. Need a permanent fix

Hi guys,

I bought a brand new iPhone 6s 128GB off eBay (so no warranty) recently. However, after a couple of days I noticed a layer of dust inside the camera glass. I looked up the tutorial on iFixit and cleaned it with some lens cleaner and q-tips and it looked fine. However, after a week I noticed a few fine particles of dust inside the camera lens again. It seems that somehow, in spite of all the shielding, particles of dust are making their way inside and getting stuck on the inside layer of the camera lens. I can open it up and give it a good cleaning once again, but I'm concerned about the durability of the connectors and this can't be a solution as well. Is there a permanent fix to this?

Did you make sure the bracket is installed correctly?

Facetime Cam or Main Cam ?

When you opened up the phone, did it have the black adhesive sticking between the screen plastic frame and the metal housing of the iPhone? If there wasn't then it's not a brand new iPhone and most likely refurbished instead.

Wow, I guess it must be refurbished then. I didn't find any black adhesive tape sticking the screen module to the metal frame. Though I'm not sure I understand you correctly. But I think when I first opened up the phone, it looked exactly like the phone shown in the iFixit tutorial.

So, is there any way I can stop dirt from entering the rear cam socket and sticking on the protective glass? Tape of any kind? Please guide me.

I'm talking about this:

On the glass in front of the camera, there is a foam gasket (if the screen has never been replaced before), which stops dust from going to the camera lens.

You can order the adhesive that seals the 6s screen to the frame. Even still, it sounds like you have some bend or a crappy screen. Look for any lifts on the screen. A lot of the aftermarket screens sit too high.

The cheap solution is a good case after cleaning the lens.
