Camera image shifts and will not focus in certain camera modes

After successfully replacing the aluminum body with an aftermarket one on my 7+, I tried the same thing with an iPhone 7 however I have come across a strange camera issue. This issue is evident in Panoramic and Time Lapse modes while in any other mode isn't present. The image on the phone is most shaky and distort when you first switch to the mode, and then it evens out a bit but keeps noticeably shaking even when the phone is itself unmoving making it difficult for the phone to focus. I suspect this has something to do with the optical image stabilization but really I don't know. I was wondering if any of you have any ideas what could be causing this or if you've experienced the issue yourself.
