iPhone screen bended in cabinet. Replaced with new screen.Black screen

Hello dear people

Thanks so much in advanced for taking time to read my question regarding my problem with my iphone.

So my screen accidentally kind of "bended" some time ago. I can't remember how only that for a long time it's been king of lose around the screen all tho the screen have been working perfectly since yesterday.

While i was listening to music thru the headphones i toke the iphone up of my pocket to realize that the screen had gone out. All tho the music still was playing along with the rest of the phone.

I thought okay the screen has probably been harmed/more bended while i was biking (as it have been kind of lose around the screen: the glue was kind of giving up in the left side of the phone looking at it from above unto the screen)

Now yesterday i tested that the phone was still working by connecting it to iTunes - and it was. My iTunes recognised the phone as my phone - but of course couldn't enter the menu as the phone was locked.

So i brought a new iphone 6 screen and replaced it - carefully (i don't believe i made the long screws problem)

So here is my current problem: My iphone is still recognised by itunes (all tho now i have updated it and restored the iphone ((which of course didn't help)).

I can get it to vibrator and recognize the home button along with the fingerprint option.

I can get the phone to display "black screen" on and off if i press the wake up button on the left side.

I can't figure out if long screw damage destroy the function of the screen but allowed the phone to work otherwise. But i still don't believe i made the mistake to do that damage.

I understand it's probably a long shot but any help would be appreciated - i imagine my only option left is to switch out the logic board.

Thanks again

Matthew

You possibly could have damaged the video connector. Check to make sure that you havent damaged or broken any components or connectors. Also did you unplug the battery and turn the phone off when you changed it. Also did you use metal or plastic tools to remove battery connector if you did it.

Hej Cameron thanks for the fast respond. I use metal to unplug the battery :/ as far as i can see the digitizer plugin on the logic board MIGHT have a small broken ting but its to difficult to see for me without proper equipment. I'm sudden that the display connector on the logic board is perfect tho.

I might have had the phone on when i unplugged the battery as i didn't have a chance to know when the phone was on or off to be honest.

Can you say for sure it isn't long screw damage?

No. The way to find out is to remove the screws. If you put the wrong screws in the wrong place it is probably the issue. Also the damaged ting might be your issue. Get a magnifying glass to see it better. If you need one you can get one for very very cheap

Just wanted to say in the future never use metal prying tools to pry unplug a battery it opens the risk of shorting the board.
