If I download a mix of tune the file stays on my phone memory even if I've downloaded it to my mem card. If I delete the file from the phone storage it deletes the file from my mem card too. How do I delete from the phone memory but keep the file on the mem card?

There are various file explorers for android that allow you to have greater controller over the files on your phone, in my opinion ES file explorer

Many thanks. I've tried a couple of file management apps etc but can't seem to wipe the files from the 'internal storage' without them being wiped generally and if I use the 'move to sd' fund in it still saves them on the phone storage. Am I being dim and missing something simple?!

Without actually looking at the phone I can't tell for sure, but with es I believe you can look at what types of files are taking up space, that can give an indication as to what filling up the phone.
