Home button not working
I have been using the same screen to test different phones and now the home button won't work any more. Is there any solution?

Are you using the original home button? A different home button does not work at all anymore, the clicking part and Touch ID.

its the original button thats installed
Was it it good quality screen or a cheap one?
What if its cheap screen? I have the same issue.. Everything works fine after screen replacement but the home button isnt responsive anymore. Although everything seems to be fine with it.
it could be, the touch id cables are often defective.
That's been a big a issue with iPhone 7. Cheap displays, got problems

Replacement home buttons on the 7 and 7 plus should theoretically work (the hardware is there) but it needs to be programmed by Apple and therefore will not work and also since it's a trounce sensitive button and no longer moves the button function is linked to Touch ID rendering the button useless unless Apple can program it but they require a full screen replacement in order to do it.

Theory doesn't count unless you've proven it. Sorry, not trying be jerk. Jus sayin we see so many theory, they don't pan out
