Laptop shuts down with slightest touch

Hello all. I have an HP 15-p030nr laptop (yes yes I know. HP + Beats. How could it get worse? It was before I knew anything about technology). I've had it for over 2 years and have taken it apart a few times. Replaced the optical drive with an HDD. Replaced default HDD with SSD. Upgrade RAM. Etc.

But recently putting pressure on the chassis or even the slightest touch will cause the laptop to shutdown. I've consulted a friend and he claims it to be a grounding problem. I'm not completely sure what it is and how to fix it. Does anyone know any solutions?

Hi,

When you say shutdown, what exactly happens? Do you lose power completely or does it actually shutdown in a controlled manner?

Does it do this with the charger connected or only when on the battery?
