Small Metal Part Fell Out?

I was replacing my brother's iPhone 5 battery and after opening the screen panel a small metal part with two holes fell out and I have no idea where it goes. Also, this black strip towards the home button appears loose and I'm not sure where that goes, either.

the small metal part on the left hold the home button flex in place once you connect it. is there a screw on the home button flex to the right when you're looking at the back of the lcd? if you lost if you could just use a bit of double sided tape I guess where the screw ought to be.

Update (01/26/2017)

you're welcome, you could even forget about the metal part, it won't matter anything if you do, it's a headache to put back. I do it for customers of course but if it was mine....depends on my mood if i were to put it back. it needs to first get set into the top area, there are two notches in it then forced down towards the bottom. you're welcome!

Ah, I see! Thanks for the insight. It appears I lost the screws but I will definitely try tape. Thanks again!
