iOS 10.2 update broke a recently replaced screem
No idea if these are related, but I replaced my screen and then a few weeks later the screen just died after an iOS update.

I replaced my screen a few weeks ago. The process went smoothly, although I had to hold down the power/home button to get it to start up. I had to do the same thing again a week or so later when I needed to restart the phone for another reason.
A few weeks later, I did an iOS update (10.2). The phone downloaded the update, did the spinner thing for a bit and then something odd happened. It asked for a password and returned me to the home screen like it was done... I started using the phone for a bit and then the screen suddenly turned off (no LCD, no backlight).
Now, a mix of things seem to be working and not.
- The phone happily mounts in iTunes.
- I was able to do a factory restore, and it mounts in iTunes, but the screen never turned on during this process.
- Verizon *does* recognize that it's connected to the cellular network (calls don't go to voicemail), but there's no sound or vibration.
- The phone doesn't vibrate when it's plugged into power or a computer.
I tried reseating the display connector, but that didn't seem to do anything.

Just coincidental. It's most likely the screen that has gone faulty.

Seems like. I took it to a repair kiosk at the local mall and after swapping the screen for a new one it works correctly now (and without requiring a reset at boot)
