Why won't iPhone 5c turn back on after turning off? Restored 3 times

The other day I switched my phone off and it wouldn't turn back on. I tried leaving to charge, hard reset, nothing worked. There was no apple logo just a completely black screen. I put it into recovery mode and connected it to iTunes where I restored everything. I then thought the phone would be fine, but once I turned it off or the battery ran out I had the exact same problem - the phone is completely dead and won't turn back on unless I go through the whole process. I really don't know what to do or what is wrong with the phone. Please can anyone help?

Hi Sophie,

If you have used cheap cables in the past, then you have more than likely damaged a chip in the phone called the Tristar chip, this would need replacing, and for this to be repaired, you would need someone who can do microsoldering.

Try ask some repair shops in your area if they can fix this issue for you. :-)

Hi thank you very much for your answer! I don't suppose you have any idea roughly how much this would cost? Thanks x

Depends who you go to really! Try and make sure they offer 12 months warranty with their work to!

Should cost around £30 - £60 :-)

did you try a force start? While holding the Home button, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button, until the apple logo appears in about 15 seconds. If your phone refuses to charge, it is more likely a port replacement which is quick and simple, no micro-soldering, and about $60. If that is not the problem then it is the U2 IC chip, which requires micro soldering, and I don't know the success rate, if even possible.
