Long screw damage causes short?

Hi. Is it possible that long screw damage can cause short circuit in Logic board so the iPhone can't power on at all, no vibrate even good battery and iTunes cannot regognize the iPhone? I have iPhone 6 and seems that there are three possible long screw damage. The middle one and the both bottom. I already started by removing right bottom screw hole and there are quite impressive long screw damage :)

Everything else seems good in this board (under microscope) so I would like to know if I can just start repair those long screw damages and make iPhone alive again.

Right bottom screw hole

Update:17.1.17

The bottom right screw hole there was two broken trace and those traces causes that the iPhone 6 not turning on. Now I've fixed those traces and now computer and iTunes regognize the iPhone. But the screen still not turning on (no backlight). Is that backlight traces in the left screw hole? First picture is before rapair and below is the picture after repair.

Update: 01.29.17

Repair of left bottom screw hole. Added all trace and LCD still not turning on.. Is that pointed trace excessive? Or does it belong there?

EDIT: note to everyone: dont worry about the board, I just bought this iPhone knowing there are at least long screw damage and I bought it as a donor board :)

So before I start to using it as a donor board I would like to expand my skills to trying repair those trace under screw hole. And I update later how it's going :)

Is this the same phone Screw hole pry damage?

LSD is not a trivial repair, even for a micro-solderer. Are you just testing/expanding your skills or trying to save this phone for a customer. I would tread very carefully before attempting a LSD repair for the first time on a customer device.

Oh and don't put a screw back in the middle/upper hole. You'll possibly short a line that kills the board or throws it in recovery.

da

Thank you. I have tested those traces and they are good. My picture not have best quality :/

No display is usually caused by broken traces from this screw hole. You have no display or no backlight? And what is iTunes saying when you connect the phone?

da

I have no display (LCD) and no backlight. I've cheked LCD screen without backlight and showed light behind

da

No display (LCD) and no backlight. I've checked LCD screen without backlight module and I pointed light behind the LCD and there is no image. iTunes says that iPhone that you want to restore there is no SIM card inserted. So the iTunes regognize iPhone after right bottom screw hole trace repair.

Yes lsd can cause problems to the board. You need to get it to rehab immediately before it hurts loved ones with its addiction!

Long screw damage can definitely cause a full short if you screwed into traces. A couple screw holes have traces underneath them and if they're broken a short is almost inevitable.

I do agree, lsd is not a simple repair as you can easily do more damage to the board if you're not careful. Basically you will want to scrape the solder mask off to reveal possible damaged traces then cut and apply new ones to bridge any broken ones.

I can't emphasize enough this is not a simple repair if you haven't done it before and highly recommend handing it over to someone who has unless youre using this as a practice board.

Of course, thats awesome you repaired the damage traces. As for backlight have you tested the three main filters and diode? I would would make sure bl_anode line isn't shorted to ground as this is a common one that kills backlight. You can quickly test against the connector pin itself. You could have a separate issue with your backlight circuit and it might not be trace related. Backlight problems on the i6 and 6s are too common to count.

If there are 3 different areas where long screws may have penetrated the logic board, it is very possible that those could cause so many problems with the phone. You should be able to repair the phone but if not, you can use this part with this guide to fix it.

You have to repair the broken traces then cover them - preferably with UV curable PCB mask.
