need some help i am a nokia lover and been fixing them for many years so i took my n8 apart to change the housing but once back together it all work but the screen wont light up? i wanna do a hard reset but i dont wanna if i dont have to pleaseeeee help!

I think you should reconnect the wires first then try hard reset.

Are you prety sure you connetcted both connectors correctly (touchscreen and display)? May b the display connector (at right hand) was left loose or get damaged in the process... there is no way a hard reset help any thing if you don't have video signal at all... it's a hardware fail, not firmware. good look

hold the power button for more than 15 sec. it worked for me
