How to fix the left ear cable? (my cat cut it)
My cat just bite the left ear cable of my Shure SRH240A Over-Ear Headphone.
The right channel works great, but the left channel cable is cuted in half.
When I checked the inner cables, I see 2:
- Green
- Gold
And both cables have some inner white hairy look-a-like thing.
The next thing I did was re-join the green with the green, and the gold with the gold (not with solder, just twisting the calbes together), but nothing happened, not even a sound on the left speaker. So I decided to remove the white hairy thing and make a 100% metal conection. I did separate the hair and the copper, then burned the hair.
The result was 2 pure copper cables, one green and one gold. I twist them together and STILL nothing happened, not even a "shhh" sound, nothing on the left side speaker.
WHAT IS GOING ON? Please help!!
Someone who knows about this type of cables.
It will really help me, because I use it for work, I'm an audio editor, and I need to get a job done for next week!!
Thanks for your time..
