Crashing with new logic board

Two weeks after Apple replaced my logic board (repair program GPU/videocard),

I am having the same symptoms and issues with the machine.

I wonder how long it will last this time....

Symptom 1: Fans are running wild, overheating with normal internett activity (no youtube).

Symptom 2: MBP crashes with horisontal colored lines across the screen. Forced restart. This happens under normal internett activity..(no youtube).

Anyone have the same experience?

Is it possible to get a functional logic board for this modell, or maybe Apple should give me a brand new MBP ;)

Take it back to Apple again, before the end of the year (otherwise they will not accept this in again).

As far as I know, there is not a difference between the original boards (with the fault) and the new boards they fit (bad, I know). Chances are, it will just happen again.

Get them to fit a new board, run a GPU benchmark program (heaven unigine is good) and see if it crashes again. If it does, repeat the process and express your annoyance to Apple, hopefully they will replace the Macbook with a newer model, so you don't take it further. If not, hopefully the new board will last.

That replacement program replacement only has a two month warranty. Just like all of Apples replacement parts.

What would you recommend the user do @mayer? They are within the 2 month warranty currently, does this continue after the end of the year (when the GPU program discontinued)? I'm not too familiar with Apple's process myself, I have just sent customers here in the past (I've never had to use an Apple repair program)

@reecee I would let Apple know immediately and get it in. This program was the result of a class action law suit. If Apple cannot fix it, they need to return the purchase price of the machine.
