ifixit replacement battery compatible with the percentage indicator?

Hello everyone, I bought a replacement battery from eBay last week and successfully installed and calibrated it. The problem I'm having is that the percentage indicator is stuck on 100% all the time. I read on a thread here that there can be a compatibility issue with aftermarket batteries and the communication with the phone. For me, this is like having a faulty gas gauge in my car. I need my phone for work mostly but I don't want to risk over charging it. So, my question is: if I spend the $40+ on the battery kit from ifixit, will it work properly with the percentage indicator after calibration?
