Internal speakers not working

My hisense 40h5b tvs internal speakers are not working. They were working just fine until i plugged in speaker system to the audio out. The TV plays thru the speaker system but now when i pull out the cord, the TV does not play anything.

I am assuming that the internal speakers are some how disabled but i can not figure out how to re-enable them. I have gone thru all the menu settings and tried turning them on there, resetting to factory settings and even resetting all settings to default. None of this worked. Tried turning off TV, uplugging and holding power button for 30 seconds. I then sat for a minute and then plugged it back in and turned on. Still nothing. Im totally lost. Thanks in advance.

I had the same exact problem with my sound not working, and none of the solutions worked. I went into the settings, reset the wireless connection, reconnected, then the sound worked again. Easy fix, and good luck!

i have same problum had tv for almost four years sound was working and now just in the last moth it has stop pluged my surround sound in went to take cord out now no sound

done restore reset eveything you can think of that a person who is one of tech support can do as i work with computers and micrsoft been a tech for almost twenty years but can not get soud to work this is bloody bullshit my usb stoped working as well it wont even read a 2gb usb stick my apps keeps closing or stuggle to open you name it its doing it please need advice this is crap

Hi,

Silly question but have you got a set of earphones plugged into the earphone socket?

If not plug in a pair of earphones to verify that the audio is working. (make sure that the TV is on of course and that the volume is turned up, watch your ears if it is too loud.

If it works then remove the earphones and see if the TV speakers are working.

If not check the audio setting to verify that you have selected the internal speakers as the audio option.

Go to Menu > Audio > Advanced audio > TV speaker. Ensure that the settings shows ON.

So nothing was in the audio out but when I plug in my headphones, it does play audio. I check to see if internal speakers are enabled in settings and they are. I then tried plugging in the headphones and removing 5-6 times in a row to see if TV would register me unplugging the headphones but that didn't do anything.

Still not working.

Hi, Just wondering what happens if you reconnect your external speakers as before then switch the audio settings over to connect to them, see if the audio works, then without unplugging the external speakers switch the audio setting back to the TV speakers,

Ok guys I had a Hisense TV and all of a sudden and no sound at all .... but I found how to fix it really easy.... go to settings. Then advance settings. Then setup wizard and that's it press ok and follow the instructions of u don't have internet connection just press skip and your TV will have sound again.... cheers

I have sound but it's only about half as loud as it was before, on the same setting.

I switched to BLUETOOTH. Played with it hrs. Comes on few days. Then of course shuts off. PEACE OF JUNK TV only had a year. FIRST CHANCE gonna SHITCAN IT. Buy anything else but HISENSE

Go into settings go to System then advance system settings & then factory reset & do factory reset everything it works

got one today and the sound wasn’t working so I returned it to Wal-Mart and got another one then I realized the sound was working until it updated then sound quit so I’m guessing its the sound driver maybe they will release a patch for this? head phone port works fine though also

I've been thru all the steps also like unplugging and the code reset I just cant believe I got 2 bad TVs in a row so ill wait awhile and see if they patch this issue b4 I return in for a refund

I cant get the TV to switch from headphones to speakers. I've tried sound reset, no luck. Factory reset, no change. Went through the startup and still no sound. I've plugged in headphones, sound if fine but after I remove the headphone jack to little Icon in the upper right still show headphones.
