internal HD change to SSD 1 TB SATA 3. Which cable should I choose?

MacBook Unibody 2008 A1278 2.4G 8 G RAM

I want te replace my original HD with an SSD of 1 TB Toshiba 2.5 SATA 3. The original SATA cable is to slow te be able to boot such an SSD so i need to replace the original SATA-cable with a SATA-2 or -3-cable. Where can i find such one on your site ? Thanks upfront !!! Grts S.

The interface is an SATA 2 so first make sure your drive is backward compatible, many are not.

On your machine I would go with a SSHD instead of the SSD.

To add to Mayer's answer: You'll need to return the SSD as the Toshiba 1 TB SSD is a fixed SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) drive and your system can only support a SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) drive, it's not compatible with your system!

As reference you'll want a drive that offers dual SATA II & SATA III support. Here's a hybrid drive that would work in your system: Seagate 2.5" SSHD it is the cheaper solution. If you want a SSD then you'll need to go with something like this: Samsung 850 EVO note the Interface line 'SATA 6Gb/s (compatible with SATA 3Gb/s and SATA 1.5Gb/s)' The spec sheet for the drive needs to state it works in a SATA II system.
