iPhone 4s doesn't turn on
Hi guys.
First timer here, and I have an iphone 4s that doesn't turn on. I don't know what happened, it didn't fall or anything it just stopped working. It doesn't turn on and gives no indication that is charging. I googled to try to solve this and I tried home+power trick but it didn't' work. I tried plugging it to the wall and do the home+power and it didn't work either. Now, I don't know if it's the battery that's dead (I would assume that it would still light up the screen when I plug it to the wall) or if it's just a disconnected screen or what is it.
I would really appreciate any help.

hi, you could have some dirt stuck in the the charge port - try cleaning it out - very carefully - with a pin or something else

Thank you guys for the replies so far!
And while I understand your feelings about smashing this old tech, I also know that not everyone has money to buy new tech ;)
Going back to the problem, I asked exactly what happened to the phone owner and she said that when she looked at the phone it had light coming from the top but the screen was all black. She tried to turn it off and on again, but it didn't turn on after that she turned it off. No signal after plugging to the wall either.
I also tried to check for voltage but without results, I'm just not sure if I was touching the correct pins though. There wasn't a lot of space to get a good connection so I'm really not sure about it either, plus I didn't know what pins to connect! There are so many.
