Upgrade to Snow Leopard from Tiger do I really need ILife boxset?
So my girlfriend has purchased a new IPod nano and missed the requirement of Itunes 10. Both MacBook Pros, I have the A1226 and she has the A1211 and we are both still running on Tiger (10.4.11) and Itunes 10 requires Leopard (10.5), since Snow Leopard is the only upgrade available and the Mac Store suggests we get the box set including ILife and IWork upgrades. My question is do we need to really spend the extra $100 for these upgrades or would we be ok with just the Snow Leopard upgrade disk. Also how does the software know if it has been installed on a single mac or multiple macs, do I really need the family pack if I am going to put it on both macs?
The IWork would never be used(we both use Microsoft Office for the mac), and ILife upgrade isn't a priority. The most important part is allowing the IPod Nano to be used.
Thanks
