Replaced screen, now vibrator won't work when screen is in.

I have replaced the screen from my iphone. Now, when I try the vibrate switch without the screen, everything works fine. The vibrator is working etc,.. . When I installed the screen, everything works. Accept from the vibrator. It's a weird problem. Also when I half install the screen, the vibrator works. When the screen is full clicked in the iphone, the vibrator won't work anymore. Does anyone knows this problem? Or is there someone who can help me? Thanks on advance!!

Odd problem.... Seems like the screen is somehow breaking connection.which leaves 3 places..... Mute switch, connector for headphone jack/power/volume or vibrator. Make sure connector 5 is on snuggly it may be popping off when cover closed. Try blutac to hold. Check midframe assembly for anything protruding in to those areas. Where was damage to screen? Check tiny switch is in groove at back of mute button . Check vibrate motor is in properly- 2 tiny metal prongs on housing sit in little grooves on rear case.

I've experienced this same exact issue on two phones now. The motor will vibrate when the screen isn't inserted completely. Did you ever determine a resolution?

This kicked my butt for days. I found nothing on the web that is why I decided to write this up. It would work fine up until just before the screen was fully seated. I thought it was a short. What it was was the weight hitting the back of the screen so it couldn't rotate. The fix was to install the two screws like normal. Then push down hard on the top of the motor to make sure it is fully seated. This will probably bend the bracket slightly. If you go to far it will hit the back housing. If that happen just pry it up a little on the weight end. If the weight hits anything it will make a loud noise. If it doesn't hit anything it will be smooth and fairly quiet.

FYI, I got very good at replacing motors. Don't follow the online instructions that have you take the logic board out. They are designed to be replaced without doing that. You don't even need to power down. All you have to do is take out the two screws by the charge port. Pull the screen up carefully with a suction cup. Slide the bottom of the screen off to the left just enough to expose the vibrator motor. With a #00 magnetic tip screwdriver take out the two screws holding the motor in. Take out the old motor put in the new motor. You have to hook the contacts underneath the logic board. Put the two screws back in. Slide the screen back in place, top first. Test with the mute switch. If all is good put the two screen screws back in.
