What could cause my MacBook Pro 15" not to turn on.

I have this unibody Macbook Pro 15" Early 2011, it will not turn on at all.

When the MagSafe charger (L type) is plugged in, the indicator light on the charger stays bright green. I know the battery is dead because the lights on the side of the mac will not light up when the side button is pressed.

So this is what I have tried so far.

When I tried resetting the SMC, PRAM and NRAM. This did not work.

The green dot on the caps-lock would come on as soon as I pressed down the key combination for either reset.

So after that, I figured that the DC-in board could possibly be bad. I replaced that, and it did not work. Same issues, nothing has changed. I tried the DC-in board first because thats the cheapest part between it, the battery, and the logic board.

I really hope that the logic board isn't bad. I don't really want to buy a new one because they are extremely expensive, even as used.

Im excluding the battery out of my troubleshoot, because the macbook should still turn on with just the charger.

Is there anything els I could try,

I can't really buy any other parts because I am a broke college student.

Any responses will be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you ever have any video issues? This machine does have a repair program. I have had one in with the same symptoms, that the ASP did have to send to Apple to test and they replaced the logic board.

It did boot up to the gray screen for a while and just sit there, I failed to mention that cause I completely forgot. I have read that that is a sign that the logic board is bad. Im just trying to not spend that much money on a new board, so I started with the cheapest possible fix. I can build a whole new computer for the the price of a new one. Ill check into the repair program. By this point, I'm sure its the logic board.

thank you.

Have it checked ASAP as Apple is trying to phase this program out. I would recommend an ASP rather than straight to Apple. The ASP has a financial incentive as Apple will pay them to replace the board.
