Usb mouse works but PS/2 doesn't
My PS/2 Mouse can't be detected properly. When I attach it, even I restarted the pc, the cursor won't appear but there's red light under the mouse indicating that it should be working. But when i attached a usb mouse, the cursor instantly showed up. I looked at the device manager and find that in my keyboard tab, there is a "standard ps/2 driver" but in the mouse tab it only shows HID Compliant.
Questa è una buona domanda?
Hi, What make and model PC are you connecting the PS/2 mouse to? What OS is installed? The red light indicates that the power is there not necessarily that the signalling is working.

I don't know what the model of the PC is because it was only given by my brother but the OS is Windows 10. My PS/2 keyboard works and it has a standard ps/2 driver when i checked in the device manager but the mouse only has hid compliant as its driver

Hi, Are there two PS/2 ports in the PC? Are you plugging the PS/2 mouse into the PS/2 port designated for the mouse? Hasn't the PC got a brand written anywhere on it?
