Can I build my own phone?

@ittapupu64 not sure where you are going with that. Right now its a no. You willneed to somehow connect your homebuilt phone to a networka nd your iwll need to many parts to get it done. Now, that is not to say you cannot modify a phone to fits your needs, but scratch the built from the ground up idea.

okay that is a depends. depends on what phone and how bad (or good) the camera is. Remember that is how the manufacturers make money. They do not want to have interchangable parts. New parts is where the money is. Some cameras surely can be refitted if you have the proper specs and the phones firmware supports it.

Parts for an iPhone 6S won't work on a 6S+, it's that bad.

So if i took an android phone like a Samsung galaxy s7 or LG Optimus L90 (phone i have) can i replace the camera's in these phones?

that's a loaded question :-) Let's see if we can find a work around. Go with the L90. Replace the L90 camera with what other camera? what would you be looking for in a different camera?
