Home button Touch ID - IMEI needed

Hi guys,

I have several home buttons as spare parts from other iphones 6 so I wonder how to get the original IMEI from each device/home button. Is there any way?

I have managed to read those datamatrix codes (small sticker), its a combination of 7-8 digits and letters (but its not a serial number or similar).

are you asking if the IMEI is stored on the home button?

I am asking how to get the IMEI from each home button and asking if its possible to decode those numbers which I get when reading the datamatrix code.

The only way that I know to read IMEI off of an iPhone board is to read it on the phone turned on, sim card tray (6S), back of phone (printed on back of iPhone housing), or apple's way of reading the data on the board which I have no idea how they do.

For all I know that reading from the datamatrix could be just some encrypted, hashed numbers (hashes can't be decrypted / reversed).

Here are the examples of those datamatrix codes written on home buttons:

just connect ur device to itools (its softr) u get the button IMEI

IMEI is NOT related to home button pairing, so reading IMEI doesn't help at all.

It is not possible to extract the pairing key from a button, that is the whole point of secure pairing.

So this is a lost cause.

I have a plastic container full of iPhone home buttons that agree with you.

Ok, if this is true, can you explain to me is there a way to find out with which board will the home button pair?

da

The only way is to try to match them then do a system restore. If it works after restore, it is the original one.

da

Yep. After the first five times screwing that up, I started taping the home button to the motherboard.
