Won't turn on after Blu-ray ray repair

It was working fine with the box opened and the drive loose in the case. When the drive was put in its proper place it no longer wants to power on. It just beeps then shuts down. I've tried different power supplies, outlets, and holding the power button down for 30 seconds. Nothing works. It's always plugged directly into the wall. It is still the same optical drive so the daughter board isn't an issue. Tried resetting the power supplies. Any ideas?

Update* the fan will come one and run its normal checks only if the pwm wire is disconnected. The fan doesn't engage at all if it's plugged in just shakes like it's trying to engage. Still no answer here.

Check the cable connections to the disc drive, both on the drive side, and where it connects into the motherboard. When you moved the drive, one of the connections may have been jarred lose, causing a bad connection. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason why the system isn't powering on is because it can't detect the disc drive.

Wouldn't it power on without the drive attached? I took it to a repair shop and they disconnected the optical and hard drive to try and closer it on. We're they mistaken and that's why they couldn't figure it out?

Does anyone know what checks it runs before turning on? Watching it it seems like it's trying to come on but decides not to. The fan doesn't even kick on.

When you try and power it on the fan twitches but never kicks on. At the same moment it shuts itself off. Would a faulty fan cause it to power down to save itself from over heating?

I recommended checking the cables since a lot of the time consoles will have fail safes in the software that prevent the system from booting if it doesn't detect all the hardware that is suppose to be there, in order to prevent damage. Was the motherboard ever removed, or did you only open it up as far as to put the drive back in place? Can you post a picture of the inside?
