2 Stuck on activation software update screen!
replaced the screen that was broken and did a hard reset. upon boot and activation i agree to all the terms and it goes to the, "Soft ware update: checking for updates" screen indefinitely. Samsung and ATT are of no help whatsoever. So im really hoping you all can!

Are you connected to a Wifi network, personally I've noticed that if on a cellular network they have trouble communicating with the samsung servers for their updates. Also are there any other factors that may be contributing to the issue i.e. is it rooted, had any other issues??

Tried that with no success :/ and it is not rooted but i just found out it did get interrupted during an update

try using samsung smart switch to re-install the OS, emergency firmware recovery i think is what they call it.
