Which Model of Coby tablet are you using?? Have you tried using the reset button to do a Factory Reset??

I am also having this problem, using a Coby Kyros MID7125. I am dilligently working on it and have had a bit of success. My problem is I lost the Factory Restore image and the original firmware due to some "experimentation" on my part,....but that's another story. (Just sayin',....Be careful with CyanogenMod!)

Anyway, I have not been able to find a copy of the stock image OR the Firmware. So, I've taken the roundabout/ workaround route. I downloaded and installed the firmware for the Kyros MID8125 model, and everything works fine except the screen is out of alignment. It works, but it's difficult to work with. At first, I had installed the MID7022 firmware, being as the 7022 and 7125 are so similar in hardware and software. Unfortunately, the 7125 uses a Resistive touch screen and the 7022 uses a Capacitive touch screen. (Different input receiver types) So, using the 8125 firmware, which also has a Resistive touch screen, I was able to regain functionality. However, the 8125 has an 8 screen, and the 7125 has a 7 screen! I am currently searching for the Resistive touch screen driver for the 7'', but I am having trouble finding out the actual manufacturer of the touch screen unit. Once I find that out, I should be able to get the driver, install the 7022 firmware, insert the Resistive screen driver and have it fully functional again. Theoretically, there is a version of the 7022 firmware which has the resistive touch screen, but every link I can find to it is currently inactive. The Emdoor EM73 v3 firmware is the same as the 7022 firmware, but I can't find that either!!

I am still a noob at these tablet systems, but I have done a LOT of research on them lately, specifically the Cobys. If e is anything more I can offer in the way of links or information, I'd be happy to help.

Anyway, I hope this helps and I'll let you know if I'm successful.

Good Luck.
