iPhone 5S touch screen responds slowly after screen replacement

Hi everyone. I replaced the screen of an iPhone 5S and all seemed to be ok.

I had a issue during the replacement: I completely ripped off the copper tape attached to the metal shield on the back of the LCD. I turned the phone on and it was working perfectly. After I gave the phone to the owner, he told me that the touch screen was responding slowly. Now I told him to reboot the phone and now it seems that is working fine. Does the copper tape can be involved in this kind of issue? The new screen I bought on eBay isn't original, thus it could be faulty. What do you think?

To my knowledge the copper tape is heat shield of sorts. More than likely you possibly have a bad screen. I never buy parts off eBay for this simple fact. They dont come with any sort of lengthy warranty and you are the one usually stuck paying the shipping back to them. In the future, I'd get as close to original parts as you can to avoid any headaches like this. iFixit, MobileSentrix, eTrade Supply, RevampWholesale and Injured Gadgets are a few great places to get very high quality parts. If the issue your customer had doesnt resurface, then I would say it was just a glitch that was fixed with the reboot. If it arises again outside of the warranty of the screen (which is usually 14 to 30 days for ebay parts), then your customer will probably want you to replace it for free since they had this glitch on day 1.

I was pretty sure about the abd quality... unfortunately I live in Italy, thus I cannot buy anything from the stores you listed. I bought 3/4 items on iFixit and the quality is very high. The problem is the price of these items, that's high too.

Oh, I didnt realize that. Look for a company called iExpertStuidoSales on ebay. They have very high quality parts and according to their eBay page, they ship to Italy.
