Why my Samsung S3 won't recognize any sim card?

Hi all :)

have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy S 3 GT-i9300,

the phone ask me to insert a sim card , but I've already inserted a sim card,

tried other 4 sim cards and have still the same problem,

could it be that the sim card socket is damaged and need a replacement ?
