How can I reset to factory settings without getting into the laptop?
Hi, so I have an Acer Aspire E1-522 laptop that was working fine until I had the screen replaced, then when I got it back it needed a new hard drive which cost me a lot. It was working for about 2 months until one day it was being very glitchy and eventually wouldn't turn back on. I don't have the box or anything it came with except the laptop and the charger I had a Windows 8 recovery disc from another computer so I used that. It did work although it set it back to Windows 8 but at least after several months of it not turning on I finally got it to work... Except it wouldn't connect to wifi and it kept saying no known networks. Eventually I got frustrated and turned it off, now I can't sign on. It loads to the password screen so when I enter my password it just keeps loading. I've already put more money into this thing than it's worth and I can't afford a new one. I have no other options as my desktop computer has crapped out along with my phone, I'm now using my iPad which I can tell is almost done for aswell. So please is there anyway to reset this thing without getting into the laptop or just some easy fix, I'm not even sure what the hot key for this is so I can't acsses the boot menu when I turn it on, I'm not even sure how I got the recovery disc to work. Thanks in advance :)
