This question is about removing a shattered glass in one go with a touchscreen repair tool (heated plate).
Is there a heat resistant film that I can apply on the glass so the pieces stick together while I'm moving the wire?
This would save a lot of time.

I use Kapton tape. Polyimide Tape

Will it stick good to the glass? I've seen tapes like this with a width as much as 200 mm.
It Works for me. But I mainly use it when replacing shattered Mac laptop screens. I don't like those little shards of glass in my fingers ;-)

IIRC, there is a plastic layer below the glass on certain models of the SGS3 and SGS4
