LCD backlight does NOT turn on

I've tried:

  • swap out a new LCD
  • reset the settings
  • maximize the brightness
  • reboot the device

The iPod touch still dims. Not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions?

Since you tried a new LCD, it seems to me that there is something wrong with the inverter on your logic board. Which would mean the logic board needs to be replaced. Try eBay for a supplier.
