My wifi connection has been sucking lately and I don't know why. I contacted the internet company and they said there was nothing wrong. So I'm trying to see if it is something with my mac.
Do you know if replacing the airport/bluetooth board will be a potential solution or does that not have anything to do with the wifi connectivity?

I would recommend getting both of these tools to help isolate the problem:
Using WiFi Explorer you can see how many WiFi AP's that are near you as well as what bands they are using. I would recommend altering your Routers AP to a band that is less used. If your Router is within 25ft were you are located with your laptop you might want to use the 5 GHz bands. It offers higher throughput but, it does not offer the distance 2.4 GHz does.
Using Network Speed Status when you know the signal is OK will show you if the provider is having throughput issues. This is more helpful when you are on a wired connection (Ethernet) as you've ruled out the argument of bad WiFi signaling.

If other laptops in my household have no issues with their wifi but mine does...is it an issue with the router or an issue with my own laptop?
It depends ... Run WiFi Explorer look at your AP and if you have both a 2.4 & 5.0 GHz offering rename them appending 2.4 & 5 to their names so you can tell which one you are connecting to. Then reconnect discreetly to each band run a bandwidth checker or local pinger like WiFi Speed Test to your local host to see if one is cutting out.
Ok so I can replace the airport and it may solve my issues? I'm not sure what you mean when you say "It depends". I'm also not sure what your solution is to this since you're just telling me to alter my routers when the issue seems to be with my mac.
Just like a doctor one needs to diagnose the problem first, that's what I was focusing you to do here. By testing you should tell if it's the band you are connecting over as being the issue. Or, if was a hardware issue internally.
Look at it this way you have two roads to get you from point A to point B one is bogged down in traffic the other not. So a car stuck in the traffic is not at fault it's the road. That's what you maybe facing here between the different bands. So before we jump onto replacing parts let's be sure it's the part Vs the environment.
As to the part direction you may have a bad antenna cable Vs a bad AirPort board. The WiFi Explorer app should help in isolating the cable issue once you know if both bands are encountering problems. Moving the lid back and forth should make this clear.

There are two where I am right now. And no, it is on all networks.

At my folks house right now (in a different state than I live). They have no issues with their own laptop connections but I seem to. Would the airport replacement board do anything or it's not even an issue with this?

Correction - there are 12 wifi networks in the area. All secure except one.
