NO boot, no charging, over heat near GPU

Block Image

As shown in the above images the marked area in red color getting insane heat by just connecting the power adapter. Battery is not getting charged. I've used 3 adapters 2 are brand new all three working. I've replaced the Magsafe. This is a Mid 2012 Macbook Pro. Recently A customer bring it to me for service as I've been reviving liquid damaged laptops in my town. This laptop doesn't boot, don't charge. I have cleaned all the liquid with 99% Pure 2-Propanal Alcohol.

My problem is this mac won't boot just laying dead and getting insane heat in the marked region rest of the board is normal no heat. what is the problem? how to fix it. Buying a new logic board is out of the question. Kindly tell me a simple solution.

Update (05/29/2016)

A big thanks to all of you and to my personal friend who helped me to resolve this issue.

I have a shorted board. Needed to replace the GPU. And the power IC With the help of my friend I've replaced GPU. And the Laptop got turned on. Now I have a dead keyboard but back-light is working fine. Searching online for keyboard only. Is it better to replace the whole upper casing or should I go with just keyboard. I had replaced keyboard only in older macs. and a couple of times in this model also. Which consumes lot of time.

will post the pics after replacing the keyboard. Tried micro soldering first time on this board. And got succeeded.

What was spilled? I suspect you have a short in the power circuit. Do you have the schematics and the tools to do micro soldering?

Yes. I am certain that there is short circuit. And unfortunately I don't have a micro soldering tools. I think the shorting is happening near the GPU area. Thank you for the tip. If possible can you give me more details on resolving this.

Since you said that purchasing a new board is out of the question then you have a fried board and the only thing you can do is either waste a lot of man hours trying to isolate the issue with some schematics and a multimeter taking readings all over the Main-board or throwing it away. The easiest resolution is staring you in the face. "Buying a new logic board is out of the question. " Is it???

Sorry Vjay, There are things that are beyond what we can do.

In this case I think your answer is like Brian stated a new logic board as the easier direction.

The other possibility is to send your system in to someone with the needed skills & tools to fix the logic board. That might not be possible were you live here in the States we do have some very talented people who could likely fix your board.
