Why are the buttons on my iPhone 5s not working

After I replaced my battery, none of my buttons work except the home button. IPhone is normal otherwise. What did I do or not do?

You either left the power + volume up / down + ribbon cable unplugged or it was cut if you used a spudger or some tool to pry the battery out.

I cut it with a prying "tool". Oh, well. Anyway, I am giving up on fixing my iPhone myself. Mainly because the cost of iPhone repair, at least where I live in Atlanta, has fallen to a reasonable level. I was able to drive 20 minutes to a cell phone repair store and wait 25 minutes while they replaced the cut cable. Only $50 total. Now if I had to drive many many miles to get it done or had to mail it in, that would be a different story.
