Touch ID is not working

Hi,

I have a problem with my iphone 5s.

I had been using it from past one yr and recently i found lot of dust inside my camera lens. I had a good experience with hardware repairing and i am basically an hardware engineer.

I purchased tool for opening my iphone and i have opened carefully and cleaned my lens and then closed it. After that everything is working fine and i am happy.

After some time like 5 to 6 hrs later my touch id stopped working. This is an usual problem when i face it i use to hard reset my mobile and i will get back the touch id access. but this time i have done multiple things but i couldn't get back my touch id

access.

Let me tel you what i have dome till now.

1. I have opened my phone once again and checked the flex cable is proper or not, and it was proper.

2. I have done factory reset

3. i have created new apple id and icloud and synced everything and done hard reset.

4. Updated my software with latest ios 9.3.2(13F69).

Still i didn't get back my touch id. there is only one thing i left with which is restore but i am afraid because my mobile is jail broken mobile and which is imported from canada. if do restore my jail brake will also go.

Please suggest me is there any other way or diagnosis procedure to get back my touch id.

Hold power and home for 10 seconds to force restart, then try restore and reinstall iOS id it did not work.

Hi,

I cant really go for restore because i will loose my jailbreak. For your information i am using current version of ios 9.3.2, for which jail break is not at available. This is the only reason stopping me not to do restore. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Yeah, if you are using, 9.3.2, you've lost jailbreak already. So just restore.

I ran into this recently, not a fun one. Try these things

inspect and replace the back home cable under the metal plate(on screen).

Clean both that and home flex connection with alcohol (most likely won't do anything but occasionally cleans oils from hands).

Inspect board under microscope to see if any damage is caused.
