Bad print test, dots on the wrong color

Hi, I have a Multifunction device from Brother that prints only about a half of the dots it should. I have cleaned the head zillions times over the cleaning cycle and also mechanically. The curious is, that some dots are printing at the wrong color e.g. some dots on the yellow area are printed black and vice-versa.

Of course I NEVER substitued the wrong supplies.

Moreover the picture becomes worse upon printing a lot, which isn't typical for clogged heads.

I suspect some defective multiplexing circuit, either in the head electronics or on the motherboard.

Has someone experienced something similar?

This looks effectively more like an electric problem than a nozzle problem... You could confirm this by "washing" your prinhead in an ultrasonic parts washer, if you can access one.

Maybe you should verify all the connectors between motherboard and printhead.

Use only isopropylic alcohol and avoid other solvants: some PC boards of printer heads don't like solvants.
