Teardown for MVMT Velocity Speaker

So i got this speaker from a friend as he moved away and he said that it wont charge, naturally id like to try my hand at repairing the connection on the micro usb but the problem is i cant for the life of me figure out how to get the housing off.

Its a matte black hard plastic housing with no visible screws or pry-latches, ive bent a good steel spudger trying to force it off and im about to just cut the forsaken thing open but i plan on selling it afterwards; feel as if a bluetooth speaker with a big cut in the case and splotchy super glue wont have much resale.

Does anyone have any experience with this particular model or even brand for teardowns? Would be appreciated much.
