Fried MacBook couple of days after water damage - any advice?

Hi guys

2 Weeks ago i flooded my laptop with tea, with sugar in it. It immediately blacked out.

I dried it for 2-3 days on its head, fan assisted. After that it turned on again. I noticed the fan running heavily and the cpu being very occupied with that kernel task when running more than one application or eben when not. I read online that this is common, but no real fixes for it.

Two days later in the morning it would not start up until i had plugged the power cable in for like half a minute or so, the low battery symbol would also not appear.

In the afternoon, cpu capacity became more and more of an issue I decided to shut it down - which i dont usually do - and press power button for more than 10 seconds, for lack of options(can't hurt right?...). But when I tryed to turn it back on nothing happened, not even with power cable.

I do think i heard something fry, but that may be an illusion.

I now ordered tools to take it apart and alcohol to clean it, but im afraid to make further mistakes. So any advice on what to do, what not to do?

thank you in advance!

Edit: Here are some pictures after some initial cleaning with 99% Isopropyl and a soft toothbrush.

You can still see some dirt here and there, but mainly some kind of residue that still seems to cling to the boards probably fromn the tee?! i dont know if it is something that isopropyl is not good at dissolving.

On the i/o board the residue you can see is from the rubbery patch in the middle, that the alcohol seems to be attacking and so spreading?! anyhew tell me what you think or if you need more pictures!

@mrbubblecats biggest advice for now would be to not try to power up or charge or do anything with it. Once you have the tools, use these guides to disassemble your computer for a real evaluation of any corrosion damage. Unless you have the proper schematic and the tools (multimeter etc.) it will be difficult to get it repaired. Consider sending the board off for repair after you check it. Post some images with your original question so we can see what you see. Use this guide for that.
