Won't power on when home flex is connected to logic board
Hello I run and operate a repair center and do many repairs on a daily. This is the first time I have run into this issue. When ever the home button flex is connected the phone will not boot, power up , charge nothing. As soon as I disconnect from logic board it boots up like normal. I have tried diffrent flex cables same issue. I have looked at board under scope and don't see any issues with contacts thank you in advance

have you tried replacing the LCD module?..

I dont think that would help. The home button long flex cable is not connected to the LCD at all.
