File corrupt and therefore cannot be repaired

Hi Guys,

Last month, I went to Goa with my friends and we had a lot of enjoyed there and click more pictures each together. I had organized all pictures in Zip archive folder for delivering to my friend. But still, I am trying to extract my image data from Zip file but don’t access and show such error “access to the compressed zipped folder is denied” I don’t able to understand such error message. Already I have asked my friends about this corruption error, but they have not sufficient solution to remove this problem. I am so still confused about it Zip corruption error and always keep in mind such thing how to recover my data from Zip archive folder.

Verify you have the complete ZIP file? You can try the opensource software 7zip https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7-Zip to unzip. It is way better in extracting corrupted files.

A zip file is a sequential folder of all the other files and as such if it is corrupted in any way then all the files that were put in it will not be able to be read. That is just a fact about zip files. Now if you could get the uncorrupted file or get the original files before they were zipped then you would be set. Or running a Check Disk on the drive the corrupted file is on might fix that corrupted file might fix your issue but using zip files to retain any important information or media is generally not the way to go. Basically if you want to retain computer data the best way its to have Backups and ultimately more than one is better. Three copies is the best all in different locations.
