PS4 (CUH1207A) randomly turned off, not turning on. Dead power supply?

My MGSV edition of PS4 (purchased in Taiwan) turned off today while I was playing and it doesn't seem to be able to turn back on. There are no signals (ie. beep, light) to signify it getting power. Cable is not defective as it powers other devices (PS3 Slim). I suspect the power supply has died.

Contacted customer support but said I can only service it in Taiwan but I am currently in the USA. A local repair store said that they do cannot get any power supplies for the newest models (CUH-12XX) as they are not yet available.

1) Anyone have experience with this issue and can help diagnose/fix?

2) If the power supply is dead, Is there a difference between the powersupply models for the CUH-1207A and other 12XX models? Can I just get a 12XX from Amazon/Ebay and install it myself?

Thanks ifxers.

1) It sounds like you probably have a power supply problem since it won't beep and no lights come on. These power supplys seem to be prone to failure.

2) They have been available for a while now, but everywhere is out of stock and probably will be for the foreseeable future. You can either wait it out or you may be able to find an entire console that is broken for sale for cheap somewhere...obviously you would want to make sure that the power supply was good in it. All 12XX models use the same power supply.

I hope this helps.

Thanks so much! Yes I wasn't sure since mine was slightly different number but thanks for confirming that! I will be searching for the power supply for sure. I do believe that the power supply is 'N14-200P1A' according to a quick amazon search. Is there somewhere on the power supply itself that has this labeled?

Thanks again for the quick response!!!!

Usually on the bottom of the power supply it will have the part number.
